The Institute holds an annual convention at a different location each year. The sessions, which offer insightful presentations about major international loss handling events and procedures, provide a platform for meeting other senior loss professionals and exchanging industry information. Many life-long business and personal relationships are formed while members learn first-hand about the customs of individual countries.

Past meeting sites include Dorado, Puerto Rico; Marbella, Spain; Kahlui – Kona, Hawaii; Montreal, Quebec, Vancouver, Canada; Munich, Germany; Fiji; Queenstown, NZ; Adelaide, Australia: Innsbruck, Austria; London, England, Moscow, Russia, Paraguay and numerous locations throughout the USA.
